Google easter egg – Elmer Fudd search interface

February 1, 2010

Or whatever you’d call it. Anyway, I found it funny that you can adjust the Google search settings so that the search interface and hints are shown in the language of Elmer Fudd, the character from Looney Tunes. He has a speech disorder, so the normal “Advanced Search” becomes “Advanced seawch” and if you to the settings page, you will see sentences such as “wif at weast one of de wowds.” Also, “Search” will be replaced by “Hunt” and “hits” by “wabbits.”

So in order to do this on the whole rather useless adjustment, go to the Google search page, then hit “Search settings” in the upper right corner of the page, then choose “Elmer Fudd” as interface language instead of the current one.
